In case you thought Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight slugger Derrick Lewis was only interested in videos of coke-snorting baseball fans, or to report on the levels of butt-sweat odor overseas, I’m happy to inform you that “Black Beast” can, and has, used these powers for good.
Like rescuing children from the floods of Hurricane Harvey.
Harvey made landfall on Friday night (Aug. 25, 2017) in Houston, Texas, as a category four hurricane. While it’s since been downgraded to a tropical storm, five people are dead and more than a dozen people have been seriously injured.
Flood waters have forced roughly 30,000 people into shelters.
As for Lewis (18-5, 1 NC), he’s gearing up for his heavyweight showdown against former division champion Fabricio Werdum, scheduled for the UFC 216 pay-per-view (PPV) event, taking place Sat., Oct. 7, 2017 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
