Mark Hunt has had his fair share of incredible battles inside the Octagon and in rings around the world over the year.

Among his most memorable victories as a 2016 first round knockout of former UFC champion Frank Mir in Australia at UFC Fight Night 85. The bout was the featured attraction on that March night, with Hunt delivering the finishing strikes in front of almost 10,000 adoring fans.

The win would be the second straight for Hunt, adding to a 2015 knockout of Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva – a bout that also took place in Australia.

Now, Hunt returns looking for his first win since the summer of 2017 when he meets Aleksei Oleinik in the headline bout at UFC Fight Night 136 this Saturday afternoon live on UFC Fight Pass from Russia.

Throughout his MMA, kickboxing and even boxing career, Hunt has yet to compete in Russia, a country he’ll now add to a list that includes Australia, Japan, New Zealand, France, Mexico and the United States.

Hunt’s career has been an interesting one both inside and outside the Octagon. He’s faced off against former UFC champions like Brock Lesnar, Mir, Stipe Miocic, Fabricio Werdum and Junior dos Santos, and owns wins over Stefan Struve, Cheick Kongo, Roy Nelson and Derrick Lewis.

In Oleinik, he’ll be getting a fighter with 56 wins to his resume, including five since signing with the UFC. Among those, three have resulted in a “Performance of the Night” bonus for Oleinik, coming in victories vs. Junior Albini, Viktor Pesta and Jared Rosholt.
