What retirement?

Looks like Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight Vitor Belfort will abandon his quest for a “Legends League” and fight 185-pound striker Uriah Hall at an upcoming FOX Sports 1 event on Jan. 14, 2018 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

That’s according to the Brazilian’s recent post on Instagram.

“I just signed my bout agreement for January 14th at UFC,” he said. “I always looked for big challenges and in my last UFC fight it couldn’t be different. Uriah Hall, it’s a honor to share the cage with a such young and talented fighter. Thanks for accepting the fight!”

“Prime Time” is 33, but I guess that’s young compared to the 40-year-old “Phenom.”

Belfort (26-13, 1 NC) recently returned to the win column with unanimous decision win over Nate Marquardt at the UFC 212 pay-per-view (PPV) event back in June. Hall (13-8), meanwhile, snapped a three-fight losing streak when he stopped Krzysztof Jotko at UFC Fight Night 116 last September.
