Newly-crowned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s featherweight champion Cristiane Justino is ready to make her first title defense after disposing of Tonya Evinger at UFC 213 back in July.

The logical choice would be striking specialist Holly Holm, who previously held gold at 135 pounds, has already fought for a featherweight world title, and is coming off a win over Brazilian slugger Bethe Correia.

But after watching “Cyborg” turn this poor chap inside out, it would be understandable if “The Preacher’s Daughter” wanted to stick around the bantamweight division for a few more fights.

That would leave Justino with very few options at 145 pounds. The promotion could always import more talent from Invicta FC, like it did with Evinger, but that doesn’t always work either.

I guess the ball is in Holm’s court and as of this writing, the Brazilian is still pining for a December showdown (more on that here).
