Former UFC female bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko has moved into the No. 1 contender spot in the flyweight division.

That means a potential future meeting with champion Nicco Montano, who claimed the title after a run on The Ultimate Fighter.

Shevchenko, who picked up a February submission win over Priscila Cachoeira, is targeting UFC 225 this June for a date with Montano.

“Waiting on the date for my next fight,” she posted on Instagram. “Would be happy to come back to Chicago again!”

Back in 2016, Shevchenko headlined a FOX card with a decision victory over former UFC champion Holly Holm.

Montano (4-2) won the title via decision over Roxanne Modafferi in December. She picked up victories over Lauren Murphy, Montana Stewart and Barb Honchak during TUF.

UFC 225 is scheduled for June 9 from the United Center in Chicago.
