Kamaru Usman had his coming out party Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 129, completely suffocating former title challenger Demian Maia in the main event.

The card marked the debut for the UFC in Chile, as the main card aired live on FOX Sports 1 from Santiago.

Usman, 13-1 in his career, stretched his UFC win streak to eight in a row with the win. He was originally scheduled to meet Santiago Ponzinibbio, but an injury forced Ponzinibbio out of action.

For Maia, the loss was his third straight after winning seven in a row between 2014-17.

In the co-main event, Tatiana Suarez completely over-powered Alexa Grasso, securing a submission in the first round. Suarez, with has a strong background in wrestling, remained unbeaten by securing a rear-naked choke.

The win moved her record to 6-0 overall, which includes three wins in the UFC now. In 2016, Suarez captured The Ultimate Fighter 23 title with a submission vs. Amanda Cooper. The loss for Grasso was just the second in 12 career bouts.
