Daniel Cormier did what some of the top heavyweights in the world couldn’t do.
Cormier knocked out Stipe Miocic Saturday night in the main event of UFC 226, adding the heavyweight title to his light heavyweight belt.
“I was a heavyweight for a long time and I left the division. I never knew what I would become, but tonight, I got the answer,” Cormier said. “I’m a two-division champion, baby.”
The two traded blows in the early stages, with the action pausing for an eye poke on Miocic. From there, though, “DC” connected, ending the longest run by a heavyweight champion in the UFC.

Cormier also becomes just the second fighter to hold two UFC titles at the same time, joining Conor McGregor. Other multi-division champions in UFC history include Georges St-Pierre, Randy Couture and BJ Penn.
