Back in 2016, Robert Whittaker was still working his way up the UFC ladder towards the top of the middleweight division.

Fighting in his home country of Australia against Derek Brunson in his first UFC main event, Whittaker showed the world why he would become the champion just over a year later.

Whittaker landed with a head-kick and followed it up with punches to finish Brunson inside of the fight round, earning himself a “Performance of the Night” bonus.

This coming Saturday night, Whittaker defends his belt against Yoel Romero in the main event of UFC 225 live on pay-per-view from the United Center in Chicago.
