If you’re an old school fan, then you’ve been watching Evans compete for years. After all, “Suga” joined the UFC way back in 2005, by winning TUF 2. In the proceeding years, Evans went on to become one of the greatest light-heavyweights in the game, and he won the 205 title in 2008.
More recently, however, the 38 year-old has dropped four straight fights, after being sidelined for a couple of years due to knee injuries. Could Saturday night mark the last time we see the former champ compete?
Smith, meanwhile, has decided to move up from 185 to 205, after his three fight winning streak was halted by Thiago Santos last time out. So, obviously a win over a former champ like Evans, would be a nice way for “Lionheart” to begin his light-heavyweight run.
Recently the UFC posted the video below, which feature Evans and Smith discussing their bout tomorrow.
