It was nothing short of a flawless performance, as Amanda Nunes defended her bantamweight title with a fifth round TKO victory over Raquel Pennington.

The event took place from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Saturday night.

Nunes earned her third title defense, landing 149 strikes to just 79 by the challenger. Of those 149, 118 were considered significant. She also scored three takedowns and floored Pennington twice.

Prior to the start of the fifth, Pennington told her corner she was “done,” but she still went out to try and finish the contest.

Kelvin Gastelum left Brazil with a key win in his young career, picking up a split decision over Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.

The decision left most inside the Brazilian arena stunned, as the former Ultimate Fighter winner made it two in a row following his late 2017 win vs. Michael Bisping.
