Even in defeat, Daniel Cormier was a winner.

According to a report by MMA Fighting, Cormier made $1 million for his UFC 214 main event loss to Jon Jones for the light heavyweight title.

Jones, a former champion, picked up $500,000 for the victory in show money. Both will likely make more with a cut of the pay-per-view revenue.

Tyron Woodley made a disclosed $500,000 for his welterweight title defense vs. Demian Maia ($110,000), while Cris Cyborg was awarded both the featherweight belt and $200,000 for his finish of Tonya Evinger ($100,000).
