Stipe Miocic will look to defend his UFC heavyweight title for a second-straight time when he meets Junior dos Santos in a rematch at UFC 211 on May 13 live on pay-per-view from inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The two heavy hitters originally met at UFC on FOX 13, with JDS winning via unanimous decision in a five-round war.
That was the last time Miocic lost inside of the Octagon, as the Ohio native has racked off four-straight knockout finishes en route to claiming the heavyweight title and defending it. His lone championship defense came against Alistair Overeem at UFC 203 this past September. After surviving an early scare, Miocic poured it on “The Reem” and finished him within the first five minutes of action.

If Miocic is able to defeat “Cigano” in the rematch and lock down his second-straight title defense he’ll tie the UFC heavyweight record. The champion has been on a tear of late, but the division is extremely volatile and dangerous. He most certainly has his work cut out for him at UFC 211.
