Tony Ferguson has an idea when he’ll be ready to fight.

Now, the interim UFC lightweight champion just needs Conor McGregor to agree.

Ferguson, who underwent surgery to fix his left elbow, is targeting a fight with McGregor to unify the 155-pound belts in either March or April of 2018.

The former Ultimate Fighter winner won the interim belt when he submitted Kevin Lee in the third round at UFC 216. He is on a 10-fight win streak that also includes a decision win vs. former UFC champion Rafael dos Anjos.

During his run, Ferguson has earned six submission wins and a knockout of Katsunori Kikuno. He is 23-3 overall and 13-1 with the UFC.

McGregor, who won the belt last year when he knocked out Eddie Alvarez, has yet to defend the title. He competed against Floyd Mayweather this past summer in a boxing match and is believed to be looking to re-work his UFC deal before stepping back inside the Octagon.

“Notorious” is 21-3 overall in his career and 9-1 with the UFC. His only loss came at the hands of Nate Diaz in a welterweight contest.
