After a late cancellation due to illness, UFC Fight Night 110 will operate with one less fight later this evening (Sat., June 10, 2017) from inside Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. UFC lightweight Thibault Gouti was pulled from his bout with Dong Hyun Kim due to illness, per an official announcement by the promotion earlier today.

“On the advice of physicians, and with the athlete’s health and safety in mind, UFC has removed Thibault Gouti from his bout today against Dong Hyun Kim at UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Hunt in Auckland, New Zealand due to illness,” read the press release.

Gouti, 30, has produced a 0-3 record since entering the promotion back in 2016. The Canadian prospect has lost all three bouts by either knockout or submission, most recently losing to Chad Laprise via first-round TKO at UFC on FOX 21. This can’t be good news for “GT” and his UFC future, but it’s likely that he’ll be given one more chance to compete inside of the Octagon.

Considering Gouti was removed the day of the fight, UFC will not be finding a replacement for Kim, who will presumably get paid his show money.

UFC Fight Night 110 will move forward with 11 bouts, with JJ Aldrich vs. Chan-Mi Jeon being the only fight scheduled to take place on the Fight Pass preliminary portion of the card.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC Fight Night 110 fight card, starting with the Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET, and then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the main card start time at 10 p.m. ET, also on FOX Sports 1.
