T.J. Dillashaw believes he can lay claim to being the best bantamweight with a successful title defense vs. Cody Garbrandt at UFC 227.

Dillashaw earned his third consecutive victory with a second round knockout of Garbrandt this past November to reclaim the title.

With his lone loss since 2013 being to Dominick Cruz, Dillashaw told MMA Fighting recently that he believes his legacy can be determined vs. Garbrandt.

“It puts me at the top [of the list as the all-time greatest bantamweight]. I know I’m the best bantamweight ever,” Dillashaw told Luke Thomas of The MMA Hour. “I’ve got a split decision loss to Dominick Cruz and that changed everything, a fight that I thought I won. That changed everything, but I am the best bantamweight in the world.

“I get to continue to grow my legacy. Then I’ll move onto the next challenge and continue to be the best pound-for-pound fighter that I possibly can be.”
