The submission finishes keep piling in tonight (Sat., Oct. 28, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 119 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as former Ultimate Fighter standout Vicente Luque handed welterweight prospect Niko Price his first career loss after scoring a nasty second-round D’Arce choke finish.

Luque, despite filing in on short notice, looked game from the opening bell. He pressured Price and forced the prospect to fight off his back foot, landing hard leg kicks in the process. After dropping Price along the cage in Round 2, Luque found his opportunity to grab a choke and force the tap.

With this performance, Luque gets back into the win column after dropping a decision loss to Englishman Leon Edwards his last time out. At just 25 years of age, “Silent Assassin” is a work in progress. But if Luque can continue to put out rising prospects like Price in this sort of fashion, he’s going to quickly climb the ladder at 170 pounds.
