Stipe Miocic made no excuses for what happened at UFC 226 Saturday night.
Despite suffering an eye poke, Miocic admitted it “wasn’t my night” moments after his loss to Daniel Cormier in the main event for the UFC heavyweight title.
“Tonight wasn’t my night,” he posted on Twitter. “I’m feeling good. Thanks to all of my fans for the support. Love you guys! See you back in The Land!”
Miocic set a new record for title defenses in the heavyweight division, but was unable to hand Cormier – the reigning light heavyweight champion – his first loss as a heavyweight.
