FS1 IN THE CLINCH WITH STIPE MIOCIC premieres on FS1 and FOX Sports Go on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 9:30 PM ET. In this episode of IN THE CLINCH, UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic is joined by UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier in his hometown of Cleveland to discuss growing up in North East, Ohio, his career ascent to the top of the heavyweight division, live as an active firefighter and being the man to break the championship curse in Cleveland. Cormier uncovers what life is truly like for The Baddest Man on the Planet, Stipe Miocic.

Miocic on still working as a fireman: “I love being a fireman. I wanted to give back – being a policeman, fireman, coast guard or something like that. I didn’t know how fighting was going to turn out, so here we are. It’s my way of giving back and I love helping people.”

Miocic on if he ever imagined he’d headline the Q: “No. Never. It was a great time. I had just won the title, I got married a month ago, then I got a call to headline in Cleveland. It was a great fight. I came back from adversity and won the fight. It was a dream come true. It means so much for me coming from such a grateful city.”

Miocic on being from Cleveland and winning a championship for the city: “With Cleveland, no matter how bad it is, we always dust ourselves off and get right back up. They’ve got my back. This city needed it. I’m so happy to be a part of it.”

Miocic breaking the heavyweight title defense: “I’m going to break the record. No doubt about it. They can put me against King Kong. I’ll smash him.”
