Set for May 6 from the Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukoka, Japan, the card will stream live on the Rizin website.

Horiguchi and McCall will meet at 134 pounds.

“It’s official,” McCall posted on Instagram. “I’m headed back to Japan. We have some unfinished business. I’m honored to fight Kyoji Horiguchi and prove I’m the best fighter in the division.”

The 27-year-old Horiguchi (23-2) is a perfect 8-0 since a 2015 loss to UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. He captured the 2017 Rizin Bantamweight Grand Prix title. McCall (13-6-1) was bounced from the grand prix after suffering a TKO loss when a cut was opened up on his head vs. Manel Kape.

The Rizin 9 card also features Kanna Asakura vs. Melissa Sophia Karaginis, Kanako Murata vs. Weili Zhang and Kape taking on Kai Asakura.

Officials also announced plans for four more cards in 2018, as Rizin FF 10 takes place July 29, Rizin FF 11 on August 12, Rizin FF 12 on September 30 and Rizin FF 13 closing out the year on December 31. Rizin 10, 12 and 13 will take place in Saitama, Japan, with Rizin 11 going down in Nagoya.
