The stars were out in full force last night in Las Vegas, Nevada to witness history, as Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor took part in an unprecedented boxing match that saw “Money” collect his 50th straight win against UFC superstar, Conor McGregor.

Among the elite in attendance was none other than three-time NBA champion Lebron James. After the fight, which saw “Money” defeat “Notorious” five technical knockout in the 10th round after what proved to be an entertaining affair.

Afterward, “King James” took to social media to compliment both Floyd and Conor for their performances:

Respect.

Of course, the rest of the combat community also took to Twitter to give props to the fighters, especially the mixed martial arts (MMA) crowd, who applauded Conor for representing them properly despite coming up short. Still, some in the boxing world didn’t think McGregor showed anything special.

McGregor will now put up his boxing gloves (for now), as he’ll look to return to the Octagon to defend his Lightweight title as early as this year. The question as to who he will face, however, remains unanswered.
