According to a report by MMA Fighting, former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir has come to an agreement with Bellator MMA.
Mir was released from his UFC contract last month after receiving a two-year suspension for taking a banned substance. The 38-year-old is still expected to serve out that suspension before any possible action with Bellator.
Mir’s suspension ends next April.
Last year, Mir (18-11) suffered a loss to Mark Hunt in Australia. He holds wins over Brock Lesnar, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Roy Nelson and Mirko Cro Cop during his time inside the Octagon.
