More than 35,000
nerds gamers crammed their way into the Anaheim Convention Center last weekend for BlizzCon, the annual video game convention held by Blizzard Entertainment, focusing on popular gaming franchises like World of Warcraft.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, herself an avid fan of all those Orcs and Humans, snuck into the convention dressed like a Death Knight, along with husband and UFC heavyweight Travis Browne.
On an unrelated note, I snuck into San Diego Comic Con last July dressed as Jesse Holland, but nobody gave a shit.
Rousey and Browne got to test drive the new “Battle for Azeroth” expansion pack and judging by her reaction, it sounds like a rip-roaring good time. You know, if you’re into that sort of thing.
I haven’t played Warcraft since “Tides of Darkness” because my Soundblaster 16 stopped working and I got so annoyed, I went and bought an Apple. Not the computer, a real apple, and I threw it at my monitor out of frustration.
