Patrick Cummins is starting to look like “Thunder” from Big Trouble in Little China, thanks to a swollen foot that is fast approaching the point of explosion from what “Durkin” describes as a “mutant staph infection.”

Seems to be a lot of that going around these days.

As a result, Cummins will be pulled from the upcoming UFC 217: “Bisping vs. St-Pierre” pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., Nov. 4, 2017 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

I’ve seen worse.

That leaves the promotion with just a few short weeks to find a replacement for light heavyweight bruiser Corey Anderson, who is currently attached to the Fight Pass portion of the UFC 217 preliminary card.

“IV antibiotics haven’t touched my mutant staph infection,” Cummins wrote on social media. “UFC 217 isn’t gonna happen for me. Sorry everyone.”
