Set for February 16 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, the card features a quarterfinal in the heavyweight grand prix between Roy Nelson and Matt Mitrione.

Freire, who was recently named a finalist for Fighter of the Year by FightLine, scored back-to-back wins over Benson Henderson and Josh Thomson in 2017. He is 4-1 over his last five.

“My next fight is set and it’s gonna be fireworks,” Freire posted on Twitter. “Derek Campos is on a 4 fights win streak against respectable opponents and I know he’s eager to get his revenge, so I’m sure he’ll bring his best version yet.

“But I’m a man on a mission, so you better get ready for a lot of (punching icon).”

Back in 2014, Freire earned a second round TKO over Campos at Bellator 117. He is now 18-8 overall in his career, having won five of his eight matches since that first encounter.

Campos (19-6) sports a four-fight win streak that includes finishes of Brandon Girtz and Melvin Guillard. He is 5-2 since the first meeting with Freire.

Freire and Campos were previously scheduled for the main event of Bellator 181, but Freire was removed to face Henderson at Bellator 183. Campos went on to earn a decision victory over Girtz in a rematch.
