Rose Namajunas played the silent assassin role perfectly this week.
While Joanna Jedrzejczyk talked and talked and talked in an attempt to win the mental battle with Namajunas, “Thug Rose” stayed quiet.
Saturday night, Namajunas let her fists to the talking, dropping the UFC strawweight champion and finishing her in the first round at UFC 217.
Jedrzejczyk was attempting to tie Ronda Rousey’s record with six consecutive title defenses. Namajunas, who lost in her attempt to win the inaugural crown, didn’t let this chance slip by.
