UFC lightweight contender Michael Chiesa offered up an apology for his involvement in a scuffle with Kevin Lee Friday during the UFC “Summer Kickoff” press conference.
Chiesa charged after Lee, who answered the call. The two had to be separated by security before being escorted off the stage.
“I let my emotions get the best of me,” he said. “Won’t happen again.”
Lee started talking about the former Ultimate Fighter winners family, to which Chiesa said in his apology video, “We’re out trying to promote fights, we’re out trying to bicker at each other, get some buzz, and this guy wants to take things that far as to bring my mom into it.”
Chiesa and Lee headline UFC Fight Night 112 on June 25.
