It was a glorious return to action for lightweight Vinc Pichel earlier tonight (Sat., June 10, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 110 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, when he stepped inside of the Octagon for the first time in over three years to capture a brutal knockout finish. Pichel, 34, was pitted against Australian veteran Damien Brown, who was able to land significant shots early into the first round that forced “From Hell” to get more aggressive. Once Pichel uncorked his offense while fading backwards, he caught Brown with a sick right-handed uppercut along the cage. Brown fell like a sack of potatoes and the referee jumped in for the first-round stoppage.

With this win, Pichel moves back into the win column after sitting on the sidelines since 2014. The former Ultimate Fighter standout made good on his UFC return and looks to have improved his technique and explosiveness. If Pichel can continue a successful return and stay healthy, he’ll be a welcomed contender in the UFC’s stacked lightweight division.
