The UFC lightweight division found another rising contender earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 4, 2017) at UFC 217 from inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, as streaking James Vick put a vicious end to “Irish” Joseph Duffy after dominating the majority of the first two rounds.
With 10 seconds left in the second frame, Vick caught Duffy with a sneaky right uppercut that buckled the Irishman and sent him to the canvas. Duffy tried to cover up, but Vick was relentless with his ground-and-pound. The referee saw enough and peeled Vick off with one second remaining.

With this performance, Vick extends his current 155-pound win streak to three. He’s quickly becoming one of the more entertaining finishers in the division. That’s usually half the battle in a crowded weight class like lightweight, so look for Vick to land a significant name his next time out.
