Following his return to action at UFC Fight Night 133 Saturday night, Junior dos Santos discussed his future.
Dos Santos scored a decision victory over Blagoy Ivanov in the main event, and told Jimmy Smith after that he believes a third encounter with fellow former UFC champion Junior dos Santos makes sense.
“A rematch with Miocic would be very welcome,” dos Santos said.
The two first met back in 2014, with “Cigano” earning a decision victory. It was Miocic, though, who defended his belt with a first round TKO at UFC 211.
Since, Miocic has dropped the title to Daniel Cormier, which ended his run of three consecutive title defenses.
“The heavyweight division has many interesting things happening,” dos Santos said on the post-fight show on FOX Sports 1. “Let’s sit down and soon we will know.”
