James Vick knew he was going to be greeted with cheers when he made the walk to the Octagon Saturday night at UFC 211.

And in less than three minutes of work, Vick gave his fellow Texans a reason to scream even louder, as The Ultimate Fighter alum earned a first round TKO victory over Polo Reyes.

Vick (11-1) has now picked up wins in his last two fights since a loss to Beneil Dariush back in June. He submitted Abel Trujillo earlier this year.

With a microphone given to him after the performance, “The Texecutioner” let his emotions do the talking.

“I’m 7-1 in the UFC,” Vick said. “When are you all gonna start promoting me?

“I want the (Kevin) Lee-(Michael) Chiesa winner.”

Lee and Chiesa meet at UFC Fight Night 112 next month in the main event. The two came to blows on Friday during a special press conference and had to be separated by security.
