Sarah Kaufman was triumphant in her return to Invicta FC this past Saturday night, scoring decision over Pannie Kianzad in the main event of Invicta FC 27.
Kaufman, a former Strikeforce champion swept the scorecards, claiming 30-27 decisions from all three judges. The card aired live from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City and streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
The 32-year-old Kaufman (19-4) scored her second consecutive win, having also bested Jessica-Rose Clark at Battlefield FC: Korea last March. She dropped her two UFC bouts in 2015 to Valentina Shevchenko and Alexis Davis.
For Kianzad (8-3), it marked the third straight defeat after winning her first eight pro fights – which included a decision in 2015 vs. Clark. She has fallen to Kaufman, Raquel Pa’aluhi and Tonya Evinger.
In the co-main event, it was Vanessa Porto submitting Marian Morais with a rear-naked choke in the first round. Porto has now won back-to-back fights, adding her her TKO finish of Milan Dudieva in December.
Sharon Jacobson topped Ashley Nichols, Ashley Cummins downed Stephanie Alba, Brogan Walker-Sanchez picked up a victory over Cherik Muraski, Felicia Spencer defeated Akeela Al-Hameed, it was Mallory Martin stopping Tiffany Masters, Loma Lookboonmee handled Mellissa Wang and Helen Peralta started the night off with a TKO of Jade Ripley.
