Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is ready for a busy and wild night of fights as UFC 217 is primed and ready to kick off this weekend (Sat., Nov. 4, 2017) from inside Madison Square Garden in New York City and will feature a Middleweight title fight between division champion Michael Bisping taking on former Welterweight kingpin, Georges St-Pierre.
It’s a chance for “The Count” to cement his legacy and add a nice feather in his camp by taking out one of the best fighters to ever compete in the sport. For “Rush,” it will be his first fight in nearly four years in an entirely new weight class.
In the co-main event of the evening, Cody Garbrandt will finally get his chance to put hands on his former training partner-turned rival, T.J. Dillshaw, in what is sure to be a thrilling five-round title fight after months and months of back and forth verbal sparring.
Also, Joanna Jedrzejczyk will look to earn her sixth straight title defense when she faces Rose Namajunas in a women’s Strawweight championship fight.
Before Bisping, “Rush,” Joanna and the rest of the top-billed fighters take care of business inside the Octagon, the talented combatants were on hand to promote the events by showing off their best moves during the open workouts.
MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 217 fight card, starting with the Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the pay-per-view (PPV) main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.
