The first three fights for UFC 219 have been announced, with two former champions set for action.

The event takes place December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and concludes the 2017 year for the UFC.

Dominick Cruz, a former bantamweight champion, fights for the first time since dropping the title to Cody Garbrandt last year, as he takes on Jimmie Rivera.

Also, ex-UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza meets Cynthia Calvillo and flyweights Louis Smolka and Matheus Nicolau collide.

Cruz suffered his first loss since falling to Urijah Faber in the WEC when Garbrandt defeated him in December. Rivera, meanwhile, has bested Faber and Thomas Almeida in recent outings.

Below is the current fight card:

Bantamweight: Dominick Cruz vs. Jimmie Rivera

Strawweight: Carlos Esparza vs. Cynthia Calvillo

Flyweight: Louis Smolka vs. Matheus Nicolau
