Dan Henderson is an elite contender in the Strikeforce middleweight division. Henderson holds the unique distinction of being the last middleweight and light heavyweight champion of PRIDE FC and he remains the only MMA fighter in history to hold titles in two separate weight classes at the same time.

He lead Team USA on season 9 of The Ultimate Fighter, with Michael Bisping coaching the opposing Team UK. He would end up fighting Bisping at UFC 100 on July 11, 2009, a bout which saw Henderson become the first man to knock out Bisping, taking out the Brit in the second round. It would end up being Henderson’s last fight with the UFC before signing with Strikeforce in December of 2009.

Henderson made his Strikeforce debut on April 17, 2010, losing to Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Jake Shields via unanimous decision. He moved to light-heavyweight, and knockout out Renato “Babalu” Sobral in his second fight with the organization.
