Ali Bagautinov’s hopes of catching the eye of another promotion were dashed Friday, as the former UFC title contender was brutally knocked out by Tyson Nam.

The two headlined Fight Nights Global 64 from Moscow, Russia.

Nam connected with a head-kick that immediately sent Bagautinov crashing to the canvas. Nam is now 3-0 with a draw over his last four since a four-fight losing streak between 2013-14.

Bagautinov has lost four of his last five around a decision win vs. Geane Herrera in 2016.

In other action, Alexei Kudin defeated Derrick Mehmen via split decision, Ayub Gimbatov topped Dauren Ermekov and Artur Magomedov scored a submission victory.
