Donald Cerrone has fought the best of the best over the course of his MMA career.

The end result has been 20 wins inside the Octagon, which has him tied for the most-ever with Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre.

Saturday morning at UFC Fight Night 132, “Cowboy” gets the chance to break that record against Leon Edwards live on UFC Fight Pass. And while Cerrone tried to be friendly in the lead-up to the bout, he got a different reaction out of his opponent.

“There’s no need for us to be angry at each other,” Cerrone said. “He called me old and slow. We’ll, he’ll have to go tell his mom an old, slow man beat his ass.”

The 35-year-old Cerrone (33-10) snapped a three-fight losing skid in February when he finished Yancy Medeiros in the first round. But for a fighter known for winning bonuses, it has been five fights and two years since he last picked up one.

“I’ve never fought in Singapore,” Cerrone said. “The fans are already super hyped. They are crazy, crazy fans. They know what ‘Cowboy’ brings.”

And as for Edwards, who is 15-3 overall and on a five-fight win streak of his own, Cerrone plans nothing short of a triumphant night.

“Leon Edwards, young up and coming fighter,” Cerrone said. “He does not want to play fair. I tried to be cool, but now he’s going to get a pissed off Cowboy.”
