On the FOX Sports desk, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping and retired contender Kenny Florian join lead UFC host Karyn Bryant for UFC 228 programming on Friday and Saturday.
In the main event, undisputed welterweight champion Tyron Woodley (18-3-1) defends his title for the fourth time against unbeaten Darren Till (17-0-1). In the co-main event, women’s flyweight champion Nicco Montano (5-2) attempts to defend her belt for the first time when she takes on No. 1 contender Valentina Shevchenko (15-3).
FOX Sports UFC programming begins on Friday at 6 p.m. ET, with the UFC 228 weigh-in show on FS1 and the FOX Sports app with Bryant, Bisping and Florian in studio discussing the fights, while Olivi reports onsite. On Saturday, the same crew hosts the UFC 228 pre-fight show on FX and the FOX Sports app (7 p.m. ET), previewing the evening’s fights.
The two-hour UFC 228 prelims begin at 8 p.m. ET on FX, FOX Deportes, and the FOX Sports app with four exciting bouts. The No. 6-ranked strawweight Carla Esparza (14-5) faces No. 9 Tatiana Suarez (7-0). No. 8-ranked bantamweight Aljamain Sterling (14-3) battles No. 10 Cody Stamann (17-1), while No. 5 Jimmie Rivera (21-2) and No. 7 John Dodson (21-9) square off in a 135-pound bout. Middleweight Charles Byrd (9-4) faces Darren Stewart (8-3, 1NC) in the exciting prelims opener.
The action wraps immediately following the main event with the FS2 UFC 228 post-fight show, where Bryant, Bisping, and Florian recap the event, while Olivi interviews fighters.
