Alonzo Menifield and Greg Hardy earned UFC contracts from the first episode of season two of Dana White’s Contender Series Tuesday night.

The show aired live on UFC Fight Pass from The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas.

Menifield picked up an eight-second knockout in the main event, finishing off Dashawn Boatwright. The win was his seventh in seven fights, six of which have come via finish.

Hardy, the much maligned former NFL standout who transitioned to MMA, earned a win in his pro debut after three amateur victories. He picked up a 57-second knockout of Austen Lane, also a former NFL player.

For Hardy, the deal is a developmental one, as White wants to see more from him before putting him up against the top heavyweights in the world.

Chris Curtis topped Sean Lally, Montel Jackson finished Rico DiSciullo and Kevin Holland bested Will Santiago.
