In news sure to get the UFC brass all in a tangle, former champion Conor McGregor wants to open up Thursday’s press conference to the public.
McGregor and UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will meet on Thursday from Radio City Music Hall in New York to promote their UFC 229 bout next month.
When the announcement was made, though, officials elected to close the press conference to the public. McGregor disagrees with that move.
The press conference will be open to the public.

Of course, all of this appears to be a way for McGregor to promote his recently-released line of whiskey, as he added:
The ticket for entry is a bottle of @ProperWhiskey.
2 bottles and you skip the Q to the top.
My soldiers will be outside making sure this rule is strictly adhered to.

Don’t expect the UFC to change their decision, as a viewing party sponsored by the promotion will be held for the event. FightLine will also have a live stream of the press conference on Thursday, which begins at 5 p.m. ET.
