What does Conor McGregor think of the UFC’s expected deal with ESPN?
“Respect.”
McGregor posted a simple message on Twitter Wednesday after reports continue to come in regarding the expected announcement of a five-year deal between ESPN and UFC to broadcast 42 events beginning in 2019.
The contract would be worth billions for the UFC, which will air on ESPN, ESPN+ and other networks owned by the sports giant.
Respect. https://t.co/Bttk9rzdYo

The UFC’s deal with ESPN for $300mm annually (not including PPV ) means the $4.2b price tag was worth it. Congrats to my offspring. I knew you would be huge.

Here's the breakdown of the UFC/ESPN deals
-10 full events (prelims+main card) on linear espn/espn2
-12 PPV prelims on linear espn
-20 full events on espn+ (15 were announced earlier this month and the deal that broke last night added 5 more)
Total 30 events plus 12 PPV = 42 pic.twitter.com/Pn7kJ5s5pz— FrontRowBrian (@FrontRowBrian) May 23, 2018
When MMA Live was launched in 2008 and later landed on ESPN2, our collective hope was that someday we’d see live UFC events on ESPN. Seems today that hope became a reality. Lot of emotions and mostly good ones! https://t.co/6YUvuu55yI
