After UFC 222, Max Holloway offered up some words of encouragement to Frankie Edgar following Edgar’s loss to Brian Ortega.
Holloway, the reigning UFC featherweight champion, was originally scheduled to defend his title against Edgar before an injury scrapped the bout.
One fellow UFC champion decided to reply to Holloway’s positive comments, and you can guess who it was.
Conor McGregor, the UFC lightweigh titleholder and last man to defeat Holloway, posted this on Twitter:
Kid, you bounced. Leave it.

McGregor offered to replace Holloway in the fight, but officials had already signed Ortega to the bout.
Holloway, who will likely meet Ortega upon his return later this year, replied to McGregor:
Oh we talking bout bouncing now?Don’t like my tweet? Your coach did. Go ask him why. Maybe you'll find what you lost. https://t.co/ekoxh7bUaw
