Former Bellator fighter Bubba McDaniel is returning to the promotion, agreeing to step in and face Liam McGeary at Bellator 185.

McDaniel takes the place of Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in the bout, which goes down October 20 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

McDaniel (28-10) has fought four times under the Bellator banner, going 3-1. He is a former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter and UFC competitor, but has fought just twice over the past two years.

McGeary (12-2) lost the light heavyweight title to Ryan Bader and a bout with Linton Vassell following.
