Anthony Joshua will defend his three heavyweight titles on September 22 against Alexander Povetkin to highlight the launch of DAZN, the company announced recently.
Bellator MMA will hold a card with DAZN streaming from San Jose, California on September 29 and another in October.
First up, though, will be Joshua vs. Povetkin from Wembley Stadium, as Joshua (21-0) puts his unbeaten record on the line vs. Povetkin (34-1). In 2013, Povetkin suffered his lone career loss at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko.
“I can’t wait to get back in the ring – the end of March feels a long time ago now,” Joshua said (thanks to BBC for the quotes). “Povetkin is a serious challenge that I will prepare meticulously for. He has serious pedigree and only a fool would underestimate what he brings to the table.”
