Back in May, Rory MacDonald made his Bellator debut, soring a second round submission victory over Paul Daley at Bellator 179.

In January at Bellator 192, MacDonald will attempt to secure welterweight gold when he challenges Douglas Lima from The Forum in Los Angeles.

MacDonald (19-4) holds wins over the likes of current UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, former title contender Demian Maia, ex-champions Robbie Lawler and BJ Penn, along with Nate Diaz and Tarec Saffiedine.

The win over Daley ended an almost three-year run without a win for MacDonald, who lost to Lawler and Stephen Thompson to finish out his UFC contract in 2016. His injuries suffered during the Thompson bout led to him spending time on the sidelines recovering.
