Reigning Bellator middleweight champion Rafael Carvalho will enter hostile territory this weekend when he defends his title against Alessio Sakara in the main event of Bellator 190.
The card takes place from the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence, Italy and airs Saturday on Spike.
Carvalho, from Brazil, is 14-1 in his career and has held the title since winning it in 2015 with a second round TKO victory over Brandon Halsey. He is 5-0 with Bellator and has not lost since his pro debut in 2011 to Julio Cesar Araujo Fernandes.
Sakara (19-11) is a veteran of the sport who has also fought in the UFC. He has picked up three consecutive wins via TKO, including last December when he finished Joey Beltran in the first round,
Along with Bellator 190, Bellator Kickboxing 8 goes down and also airs on Spike after the MMA action.
