Amanda Nunes will defend her bantamweight title against Raquel Pennington at UFC 224.

More from Fightline

The event takes place May 12 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the Jeunesse Arena.

At one time, it was in the works for Nunes to meet UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg, but that fight is now off for the time being.

Nunes (15-4) has reeled off six consecutive wins, including title defenses vs. Valentina Shevchenko and Ronda Rousey. She’s also bested Miesha Tate, Sara McMann and Shayna Baszler during her current streak.

Pennington (9-5 is on a four-fight win streak, besting Miesha Tate late in 2016. She was scheduled to face Nunes last year before an injury forced her to the sidelines.

The event will also feature Lyoto Machida vs. Vitor Belfort and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Kelvin Gastelum.
