Michael Bisping was confronted by Brad Tavares during UFC on FOX 29 Saturday night.
Bisping was working the FOX Sports desk and Tavares took on Krzysztof Jotko from just outside Phoenix.
After Tavares scored his fourth consecutive victory with a third round TKO finish, he promptly asked to be Bisping’s retirement fight once more, saying “Meet me at UFC 226 in Las Vegas.”
The two also had a brief “meeting” backstage, but Bisping decided to use his position on the post-fight show to address Tavares.
“I don’t need anything,” Bisping said. “I certainly don’t need anything from you. You couldn’t shine my shoes.
“There’s never ever anything that you have that I need.”
While it remains unknown when we will see Bisping fight again, he definitely has an interested opponent in Tavares. The former UFC middleweight champion fell last November to both Georges St-Pierre and Kelvin Gastelum inside of a three-week stretch.
