World Series of Fighting president Ray Sefo made it known that the promotion is interested in signing recently-released UFC middleweight Yushin Okami.
Okami, who won 13 fights inside the Octagon and was a one-time title contender, was released on Friday.
“We’re in talks with his team,” Sefo posted on Twitter. That came after matchmaker Ali Abdel-Aziz posted “You have a home at (WSOF)” late Friday.
The promotion is currently looking to crown a middleweight champion, but one planned semifinal was scrapped by the athletic commission recently.
Okami is 29-8 in his career and 3-1 in his last four.
