Yoel Romero is slated to face Michael Bisping in 2017 for the UFC middleweight title.
And the former Olympic medalist wants nothing more than to silence “The Count.”
“Michael Bisping just speaks to speak, he just talks to talk,” Romero said during a recent edition of The MMA Hour (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “He just tries to open his mouth so that something can be heard, but nothing’s going to come out.”
Romero cemented his status as No. 1 contender with a finish of former champion Chris Weidman at UFC 205. Bisping was on-hand for the fight, working the FOX Sports 1 post-fight show. The two are expected to fight in the spring.
