Middleweight contender Yoel Romero believes his name is about to be cleared.
Following his December win over Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, it was reported that a test given by Romero to the United States Anti-Doping Agency had come back red-flagged.
Officials released a statement, and moved ahead with plans for a Luke Rockhold-Chris Weidman rematch for the middleweight title.
However, Romero is now saying it is a “good day and great news for the UFC” via social media.
Romero 911-1) has scored victories over Souza, Lyoto Machida and Tim Kennedy over his last three fights, including finishes of Machida and Kennedy. He is 7-0 overall inside the Octagon.
